Hornsby Open for Business DVD
World Premiere

4 April 2006. Over a 100 Hornsby Shire business stake holders gathered in the Asquith Leagues showroom at the World Premiere and Campaign Launch of Hornsby Open for Business DVD.

Prior to the official premiere the attendees were introduced to 2 exciting new commercial projects to be developed in the Hornsby CBD. The first, the resurrection of the Historic Westpac (formally Bank of New South Wales) bank building. This commercial landmark in the west precinct of the Hornsby CBD is to be redeveloped into commercial office space but still retaining the heritage façade by the local property developer JNH Group.

The second, local developer, Sukari Properties, will commence development of a 4 storey, full dedicated, commercial building on the corner of George & Linda Streets in the Hornsby CBD.

Hornsby Shire Council was represented by Deputy Mayor, Felicity Findlay who, during her speech congratulated Hornsby Chamber of Commerce of this initiative and ensured all present that the council will work close with the Chamber and the Hornsby Shire businesses on the future of its economic growth. The evening was also attended by the majority of Hornsby Shire Councillors.

The reaction to the DVD was overwhelmingly positive and all attendees could see the ongoing potential of the campaign to increase commercial business within Hornsby Shire.
